SCHOLARSHIPS

    Every year, many seniors are fortunate enough to receive scholarships from various organizations, businesses, academic clubs, local community groups, generous individuals, and colleges and universities.  Students should take advantage of these scholarships and apply to as many as possible, providing they fit the criteria for that particular scholarship.

   The Pinelands Regional School District will make an effort to update the scholarships so that every student has the opportunity to apply for them.  If you have any questions concerning a particular scholarship, please contact the Student Services.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

The New Jersey Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Association is offering a $1,000 award to a graduating senior who has chronic fatigue syndrome.  Information and an application can be accessed at www.njcfsa.org.  Please see Mrs. Zeitschel if you have questions.  Deadline is May 19, 2008.

The Bank of America is offering the John and Irene Papines Scholarship to graduating seniors in Ocean County who are of Greek Heritage.  Other restrictions apply.  Please see Mrs. Zeitschel for further information and an application.  Deadline is May 1, 2008.

The American Chemical Society is offering several lucrative scholarships to students pursuing a four-year degree in the chemical sciences.  Other restrictions apply.  Please see Mrs. Zeitschel for more information.  Additional information and an application can be accessed at www.acs.org/scholars. 

The Manahawkin Elks Lodge #2340 is offering a scholarship to graduating seniors planning to pursue a college degree.  Please see Mrs. Zeitschel  for an application.  Deadline is May 1, 2008.

The Ocean County College Foundation offers scholarships to returning and new students.  Please see Mrs. Zeitschel for further information and an application.  The deadline for new students is July 1, 2008. 

The Ocean County Young Republicans is offering a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to a graduating senior.  Certain requirements apply; please see Mrs. Zeitschel in Student Services for more information and an application.  Deadline is May 2, 2008.
