If there is a conflict with any of these exam days or if your child is absent, be sure to get in touch with the teacher directly as soon as possible.
Important Information
*Midterm exams are mandatory and count for 20% of the Marking Period 2 grade.
*The last day of Marking Period 2 is Thursday, January 29, 2026.
*If a student will miss a midterm exam, families must contact the teacher and copy the student’s guidance counselor to arrange a make-up exam.
*Any midterm exam not completed by the end of the day on February 2, 2026, will be recorded as a zero in the second-quarter gradebook.
Inclement Weather
If school is canceled or delayed on an exam date, the exam will be rescheduled for the next school day, and all subsequent exams will be adjusted accordingly.
Helpful Study Tips for Students
*Review notes and key concepts a little each day
*Create a quiet, distraction-free study space
*Get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast
*Ask teachers questions ahead of time if clarification is needed

Our First Dance of the Year is happening on Friday, October 17th, from 6–8 PM in the JHS!

We hope you're enjoying a relaxing and fun-filled summer! As we look ahead to an exciting new school year at Pinelands Regional Junior High School, we are thrilled to invite all incoming 7th graders and new 8th grade students to our “Welcome Wildcats” Orientation Day!
This special event is designed to help students feel comfortable, confident, and ready to start the year strong.
Welcome Wildcats Orientation Day
Date: Thursday, August 21st
Time: 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.
Location: Pinelands Regional Junior High School
During orientation, students will have the opportunity to:
✔️ Get familiar with the school layout
✔️ Walk through a sample schedule
✔️ Practice opening their locker
✔️ Meet fellow Wildcats and make new friends
✔️ Enter to win exciting prizes!
🗓️ Sign-up deadline: Friday, August 8th
Once transportation planning and routes are finalized, we will contact you with pickup times and locations for those who require district transportation.
