Wildcat Family Update,
Second marking period grades are now available in OnCourse, and we encourage families to review this mid-year progress together. As we continue to prioritize academic and social growth, we thank you for partnering with us to make daily attendance a priority and for supporting our phone-free environment, which allows students to better focus and connect. We are also thrilled to congratulate our newest National Honor Society inductees on their outstanding achievements! Finally, join us for a creative "reset" at the SBYS Family Glass Mosaic Night next Wednesday, 2/11; please contact SBYS directly to reserve your spot.
Stay warm Wildcats!

Due to current weather conditions, Pinelands Regional will operate on a two-hour delayed opening schedule tomorrow, January 27.
Please keep the following in mind:
Bus Stops: Students should arrive at their designated bus stops exactly two hours later than their usual time.
Safety First: This delay allows us to continue assessing the situation and ensures the safety of our students and staff.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Stay safe!

The Pinelands School District will be closed tomorrow, January 26th, due to inclement weather. The Board of Education meeting will be held virtually. Please refer to the school website for the link. Stay safe!
Midterm exams will be administered during regular class periods, and there will be no interruption to the daily school schedule. Students will take their assessments within their scheduled classes.
If there is a conflict with any of these exam days or if your child is absent, be sure to get in touch with the teacher directly as soon as possible.
Important Information
*Midterm exams are mandatory and count for 20% of the Marking Period 2 grade.
*The last day of Marking Period 2 is Thursday, January 29, 2026.
*If a student will miss a midterm exam, families must contact the teacher and copy the student’s guidance counselor to arrange a make-up exam.
*Any midterm exam not completed by the end of the day on February 2, 2026, will be recorded as a zero in the second-quarter gradebook.
Inclement Weather
If school is canceled or delayed on an exam date, the exam will be rescheduled for the next school day, and all subsequent exams will be adjusted accordingly.
Helpful Study Tips for Students
*Review notes and key concepts a little each day
*Create a quiet, distraction-free study space
*Get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast
*Ask teachers questions ahead of time if clarification is needed
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to help our students prepare for a successful midterm exam period. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Junior High School main office.
